On behalf of Aalborg University and the Faculty of Humanities we were proud to announce

The 22nd Scandinavian Conference of Linguistics

Aalborg, Denmark, June 19-22, 2006

The theme of the conference was be 'Brain, Mind and Language'

The conference was organized under the auspices of the Nordic Association of Linguists.

The organizing committee organized a session on 'Historical Linguistics'.

The webpages of the conference are still available, cf the links on this page, but these pages have not been edited in order to update them, so they must be conceived of as historical documents.

Oxford University Press had a stand at the conference.

The programme featured parallel main sessions and workshops. One of the main sessions will be thematic on 'Brain, Mind and Language' and the other main session will be on general topics in linguistics. There will be a separate session on 'Historical Linguistics'.

Abstracts were invited, and the organizing committee received over 40 abstracts for the thematic and the general main sessions.

Proposals for workshop topics were invited, and the organizing committee received three proposals; see the webpage on Workshops.

Deadline for main and 'historical linguistics' session abstracts and workshop proposals was:

February 15, 2006.

Deadline for workshop abstracts: March 15, 2006.

Please observe that abstracts for workshops should be sent to the workshop organisers.

Notification of main session abstract acceptance was: March 15, 2006.

Acceptance of workshop abstracts was decided by the workshop organisers and was be notified by them.
